African Baroque was honoured to be part of a collaborative shoot with two very exciting Cape Town designers;  Coast and Koi who make exquisite babouche shoes and The Travelling Jackets of Africa who give new life to vintage jackets through embroidered and appliqued design.  We all create unique, niche products for a global clientele and are united by a .love of handcraft, textiles and colour

Philippa Tumubweinee, a lecturer in architecture at the University of Cape Town was the perfect choice as model.  Tall, composed and utterly gorgeous.

The photographer was the amazing Leigh Page and the location Cornellskop is the home of animal wrangler Luke Cornell. It was such a privelege to be at close quarters with his beautiful animals, Columbia the zebra and Rocket the cheetah. Our first ever real shoot and it was happening with such an incredible group of professionals.
