When you buy one of our adornments you are buying something made by a woman who is working in the comfort of her own home, doing something she loves at a pace that suits her.

We pride ourselves on flexibility that caters for the ups and downs all women experience.  When life is crazy our ladies simply take on less work.  We encourage them to make what they enjoy making and it shows in the creations they deliver.  There’s a joyfulness that is tangible in each and every item we offer to you.

We encourage you to take your time choosing.  Look carefully at the details which really only become apparent on closer inspection.  We’re happy to send you additional pics so that you can really gauge the quality.   That way you’ll be buying something that you’ll treasure for ever.  And that is exactly how it should be.

Sitting quietly at home doing what we do best – what it means for you.

Because we love what we do, we’re using lockdown time on additional embroidery and beading, so the pieces we make now are more embellished than usual.  This should mean higher prices but we don’t think that would be fair so all work made during lockdown is going to be extra special but at the usual prices.  Look at our gorgeous Asha pendant necklaces and recent earrings – they are small and quite discreet, but examine them more closely and you’ll see exquisite tiny details created by entirely by hand.  Genuine quality handcraft is a rare luxury in this day and age.

Each and every adornment we share with you has been lovingly made by hand.

It’s a peaceful and meditative process.  The range extends from dramatic statement necklaces to tiny exquisite brooches.  Take your time as you explore  –  you don’t want to miss the details and you really don’t know what you might stumble upon.

If you’re based in South Africa please contact us by whatsapp or email with your location and we’ll respond with the prices in rands and delivery/collection information.

Colleen, thank you so much for creating such beautiful adornments, mine arrived whilst I was away on holidays in Sydney, Australia, I couldn’t wait to get back home to see my fabulous neck piece. Beautiful work by Colleen Brand. What a talented lady!

Meryl Francis (South Africa)

My cousin Colleen was specially commissioned to create a necklace for my son and daughter-in law’s traditional Zulu wedding… a unique blend of African and Celtic elements, using Scottish tartan, Ghanaian glass beads and embellished with beautiful gold embroidered detail. I could see her artistic juices begin flowing as soon as she was presented with the raw elements. She took the time to really listen and understand the essence of what this gift would symbolise in the uniting of our families and cultures. It was presented to the bride as an integral part of the ceremony, and perfectly matched the dress that we had made for the occasion.
Thank you Colleen for adding that very special personal touch with your beautiful artwork!

Jill MacAthur (South Africa)

Absolutely LOVE these, beautiful bright colours!! I think I will need one in every shape, size, colour and length. Very original – very African!

Katrine Auld (South Africa)

I was so excited to receive my fabulous “treasure trove” from Colleen all the way to Hong Kong – I just love them. Next decision is do I wear them or do I display them on my wall – they are so stunning – maybe both! Thanks Colleen for making such inspiring pieces.

Mara McCaffery (Hong Kong)

She made an absolute work of art especially for me and then made matching earrings. A real master and a very nice woman.

Barni Rothman (US)

Thank you Colleen for my beautiful jewellery & your patience!! Will be back soon.

Maria Wagener (SA)

I bought two pairs of Colleen’s gorgeous earrings recently and I couldn’t love them more. I feel fabulous whenever I wear them and connected to my home. My only dilemma was which pair to keep and which to give to a friend! Colleen went out of her way to make the process easy, despite geographic distance, and they arrived quickly and beautifully wrapped. Thank you!

Kenda-Lee Gaynham (UK)

I’ve placed two jewelry orders so far and I’m very pleased with both. This last order took longer to arrive but the wait was worth it. My lovely necklace traveled a great distance. I’ll order again I’m sure!

Your fantastic earrings will be worn with pride and excitement. They are bold and beautiful and yet light to wear making them a pleasure to own and an honour to wear. Love them, love them, love them …. may even be back for more at some point in the future.
