This palette was inspired by the changing season when the crisp greens turn to rich red and gold. We chose some soft autumn colours in African waxprint and lifted them with subtle hints of rich burnt orange South African shweshwe.
The dark green tandletons of the inner row are made from a scrap of old sari that has a very interesting textural quality that works well with the shweshwe and waxprint.
This piece could easily be worn in a mainstream business situation that requires something unique but not outrageous – We’re imagining a presentation in a global scenario.
It fastens at the back with a textile button which adds an interesting detail in the nape of the neck.
This necklace weighs 158g.
It hangs below the collarbone making it a versatiile piece of jewelry that looks good with most necklines.
